From the director of Monsoon Wedding and based on Jhumpa Lahiri's Pultzer Prize winning novel, the Namesake examines the confusion and culture clash experienced by the American born son of a family of Indian immigrants. Spanning two generations, two countries and two very different ways of life, it is a fascinating exploration of multiculturalism and identity, set to a wonderful east meets west soundtrack by Nitin Sawhney.
